Sleepy Saturday

Despite my best intentions, I've been on the go this week.  Late to bed, early to rise. All the latest research on how important sleep is for health - especially blood sugar regulation - has got me thinking I need to get more sleep.  Now there's a goal I think I might really be able to do!

Just two new photos  . . .  puffy pillows . . . warm flannel sheets . . . soft and warm quilt . . . a good book to read . . . lavender sachets . . . night-night . . .

Wishing you a relaxing weekend!

  1. I'm amazed Donna by your so lively inspiration/imagination... you've proposed us not only wonderful pictures every day of this week, but also various subjects of reflection... today's pictures are another expression of your thoughts about the necessity of a good sleep to stay in good health... what a wise recommandation! thus your so comfortable and inviting bed with its white "boutis", lots of puffy pillows and lovely cushions you've made yourself! I love them, especially your lavender cushions, they are so imaginative, so creative, so cute... another great post Donna which gives a lot of matter to look at and to think at.

  2. Your bed is so inviting with all the pretty and fluffy pillows. Did you make them yourself? Hope you'll manage to sleep more, Donna. Sleeping more is always one of my New Year's Resolutions, but I always fail at it. Hubby and I never go to bed before 1 am, and as he must get up at 6 am to go to work, we sleep more than 5 hours only during the weekend. I also stopped taking a book to bed with me, or I'll end up reading all night long. I know, I should know better at my age. ;D
Happy weekend and happy second Sunday of Advent.

  3. Oh, yes! I could sleep quite well in that bed, I'm sure. You're really onto something here, Donna. Sleep is so important. I am one of those people who simply cannot function if my sleep is messed up. It's so essential to us.

  4. Your bed looks so fresh and inviting - how could one not get a good nights sleep there?! You have lovely light in your bedroom - perfect for taking photos. I'm with Dotti, I cannot function if I don't sleep properly. I go to bed at 10:00 and wake up at 5:00 (or before) ... wish I could sleep longer, but I've accepted that that's my rhythm. It's when I look at the clock and it's 4:00 ... ugh ...

  5. Love how the colors on the pillows pop against the white. I've always said to my kids "Sweet dreams, love you" but I wish I would have known the quote you posted as it's so much more poetic.
