Pies in the Making

It's my favorite time of the year . . . berry season. The time is right for strawberries, but blueberries and blackberries and raspberries are not far behind.

And where there are berries, there will be pies.

And while I know that food does not equal love, the baking process feels a lot like love.

Such a simple recipe - rolling of dough and preparing fillings of berries and sugar and lemon and butter and cinnamon - brings such deep joy. Looking forward to pie-making . . . and pie eating all summer long.

I'm linking up with Kim Klassen for Texture Tuesday today where the theme is black and white.  Thank you to Kim for her texture simple that is perfect for most any image.

  6. Wonderful series of images! The black and white makes me feel like I jumped back in time, in a good way. I think if you cook with love the end result is tastier. Notice I say cook because I am not a good baker. I over or under cook pies, breads anything with sugar, I blame it on the oven. :)
