Sweet and Tart

Lemons are one of nature's greatest pick-me-ups.  They are bright and juicy and smell wonderful. Squeezing a lemon on an old-fashioned glass juicer is one of life's simple pleasures.  I am enjoying these Meyer lemons - a cross between a lemon and a Mandarin orange. This unique fruit blends the traditional flavor of a lemon and the sweetness of an orange creating a juice that is both sweet and tart. I'm looking forward to trying a new lemon cake recipe . . . yum!

Thanks to Kim Klassen for the soft and sweet texture, "happy heart."  Kim is a fabulous teacher and Beyond Layers is a photographer's dream.
