Crafts are objects that begin with creativity and are formed one at a time by hand. Often they have a specific purpose in mind.

Good crafts don't depreciate aesthetically or monetarily. They stay interesting and useful long after the "cuteness" of some gifts has worn away or washed off.

Crafts are things that touch your skin, things that touch your food, things that touch your heart, or things that just plain tickle your fancy.

Making and giving quilts brings great joy to my life. Studying patterns, selecting fabrics, and stiching by machine and hand are the technical skills required. The rewards are a creative bounty, faithful friendships, and purposeful service. And, of course, the absolute best treat - an afternoon nap beneath a cozy quilt!
